LEARN TO SKATE - Age 3/4
The emphasis on this Learn to Skate power program is to provide students (age 3/4) with the skill and confidence to skate. This program starts with very basic skating skills. Our belief at this level is to encourage Fun, Fitness and Skill Development in every class so that skating may become a lifetime activity to enjoy!
Equipment Requirement: Please be advised that all students are required to wear a C.S.A. approved helmet, face cage and skates before being allowed on the ice. NO ski or bicycle helmets shall be allowed.

BASIC SKATING CLASSES AGE 5+
This SPRING Basic Power Skating Program is designed to provide students (5 years and up) with the basic skills and confidence to skate. This program starts with very basic skating skills and progresses to the more proficient skills as the student progresses in their development.
Our belief at this level is to encourage Fun, Fitness and Skill Development in every class so that skating may become a lifetime activity to enjoy!
***If your child is 5 years old or up, this is the program for them regardless of if they have previous skating experience.
(If your child is 4 they may request special permission to register in this program IF they have skated in one learn to skate program or equivalent and can stand up independently on the ice).

ADVANCED BASIC SKATING CLASS
The ADVANCED BASIC POWER SKATING program will focus on edge development, transition turns, higher skating skills with speed and proficiency (no jumping or spinning required). Our belief is to continue the desire to learn more and enjoy the progressions of each skating skill being taught.
Participants must have passed Level 3 Basic Skating to advance to this class. This CLASS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Please do NOT register your beginner skaters as they will be unable to attend this program.

***Prerequisite: Players must be able to skate the length of the ice, forwards and backwards, and be able to do a hockey stop both directions. We highly recommend that skaters have completed Level 3 in the Learn-to-Skate program. Participants who are new to skating are recommended to start in our Basic Skating Class. This class is not for individuals new to skating.
Instructors will use skill-building and progressive programming to teach players, in full equipment, the skating skills needed to enjoy the game!
Equipment Requirement: Please be advised that all students are REQUIRED to wear full hockey or ringette equipment including stick. Helmets must have a face cage.

KIDS MORNING SKATE
This is a lighthearted Introductory Skating Morning for Ages 3 -6. It is a FUN program that introduces children of pre-school age to the basics of getting up off the ice, standing, balancing, and movement on the ice. Our belief is to introduce Fun, Fitness, and Skill Development at this age and build a curiosity of learning for future years to come. This class does not require parent participation. Parents will not be invited on to the ice, but they are required to stay in the building at all times.
This is an Introductory program for skaters have never skated before or, are just starting. The age focus is 3-6, but if you have an older sibling skater who wants to join in, please send us an email to discuss!

ADULT SKATING
The Adult Learn to
Skate Program is designed for adults (16 years and older) wanting to learn the
fundamentals of skating for their personal enjoyment as a life skill. Hockey or
figure skates and Helmet are required.
