Introduction to Figure Skating

Skill Level: Intermediate Prerequisite: Level 3 of the Basic Skating Skills program or approval of the head instructor. Cost: $387 plus ice recovery fee |
This Program introduces our Basic Skaters which have completed Level 3, into the beginning of jumping and spinning techniques, while continuing to develop edges, turns of all varieties, series of transition steps and sequences. Must wear figure skates. Participants must have passed Level 3 Basic Skating to advance to this class. Figure skating skills are taught and skater will need figure skates.
Each student will receive a progress report card in December and a year-end report card in March.
***All students must have already passed level 3 of the Basic Skating Skills Program before entering the Introduction to Figure Skating Class, or, have obtained prior approval of the Head Skating Instructor.***
Please Note: Portions of this program on Saturdays are MIXED and taught simultaneously with the Advanced Basic Program as many fundamentals and warm up activities are similar.
