We are pleased to announce, that under the new Government of Alberta restrictions we are able to continue to operate our classes due to the physically distanced measures put in place at the beginning of this season. This situation may evolve, so we will keep you informed should anything change. There are a few new important measures in place, so please read this email carefully.
Classes will happen at their usual times and locations. Please arrive in time to go directly onto the ice, limiting your time in the arena to 5 minutes before and after your ice time.
We are making the decision to CLOSE DRESSING ROOMS. This means you will have to arrive to your class fully dressed with skates and guards already in place before entering the arena. If you do not already have hard guards for your skates you many choose to obtain some before your next class so that your skater can walk from their vehicle. We understand we might see some small children carried in to the building in whatever awkward fashion that might bring about. We hope you find some humour in this :). Our friends at ProSkate are ready and prepared with hard guards, should you need direction on 'where to buy' guards.
The City of Edmonton has informed us that SPECTATORS are NOT PERMITTED during this 2 week time. This means you may chaperone your participant (one chaperone only) until they are on the ice surface, at which time you must remain in your vehicle until the end of their class. You must both be masked during this delivery time. There are no exceptions.
We mirror the statements, made today from the City of Edmonton. This is the situation today. The City will continue to monitor the virus and its impacts to public health, in partnership with the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada. As this situation changes, we will keep you informed. Information about the City’s response can be found on their COVID-19 page.
